Action for Kids - The Charity for 2010

Fundsport have announced that children’s charity Action for Kids has become its nominated charity for 2010.

Throughout the year the company will be doing a variety of activities in aid of the charity which offers help and support for children and young people with physical and learning disabilities - plus their families and carers.

They help to transform lives by removing the various barriers to independence. Fundsport hope the small contribution they can give will play a big part in having a positive impact on those children and young people.

The company's media relations Co-ordinator had this to say about the relationship: "It's a great cause for us to be involved in. Throughout our activity delivery we meet many children with physical and learning difficulties, so it's fantastic to be able to help in some small way.

In these difficult times, when companies are making cut backs - charities are very often organisations who suffer and their work is often affected, so for Fundsport to be donating regular money shows how strong we value the community."

Back in April Managing Director Mark Craddock took part in the Brighton Marathon in aid of the charity, while Luke Smith completed the Great East Swim in June. All funds raised will go directly to Action for Kids.

Lyn Prodger, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Action For Kids said: “We are very excited about being selected as Fundsport’s charity partner and are really looking forward to working together to help remove some of the barriers to independence that disabled children and young people experience.”
